Our new RuKSPEED Octane Booster helps improve your race vehicle by increasing octane, enging combustion temperature, and decreasing fuel emissions. Octane is simply a measure of how slowly gasoline burns. The higher the octane number, the slower the flame burns. The best octane boosters will raise octane allowing you to advance timing gaining performance. Octane booster are a great way to maintain fuel economy and boost track performance. RüKSPEED octane booster works better with lightly tuned motors who see weekend track use. It is best to add octane booster on an empty tank and a few days before the race. This will allow for the octane booster to work through your system.
HOW DOES AN OCTANE BOOSTER WORK?Raises Gasoline Octane Rating SignificantlyMost octane boosters on the market raise gasoline octane between two to eight points. The higher the octane-raising effect of a particular octane booster, the greater the effect on engine combustion and vehicle performance. A typical octane booster will normally contain one of the following ingredients: glycerol, ethano, or methylpropanol. All of these ingredients are octane-enhancing chemicals. Increases Engine Combustion TemperatureEngine combustion, which is the burning of air and fuel inside an engine, is significantly improved with the addition of octane booster. As fuel containing octane booster enters a vehicle's cylinders, the spark from the spark plugs ignites the air/fuel mixture inside the engine. Due to the higher octane rating of the igniting engine fuel, the resulting explosion, or combustion, inside the engine is much greater; this results in more engine power and more efficient fuel burning. Decreases Engine EmissionsA by-product of increased engine combustion is a decrease in engine emissions. The use of octane booster raises gasoline octane, which increases engine combustion and temperature; this increased temperature causes more of the fuel entering an engine to be burned in the higher combustion heat, instead of whole, unburned fuel being released through the vehicle exhaust system and exiting the tailpipe.
